Garage Floor Coating
Garage floor coating seals your slab against salt, oil and hot tires, laid over diamond-ground concrete in flake or solid colour. Every garage we coat is fully insured.
View Garage Floor CoatingEpoxy flake flooring adds coloured chips to the base coat, which hides dust and small marks and gives the floor texture underfoot. In Cambridge garages it outsells every other finish.
A clear topcoat seals each flake floor, smooth enough to clean and rough enough to grip. Flake installs are fully insured.
Epoxy flake flooring hides dust, tire marks and salt residue better than a solid colour. That is why it suits garages, mudrooms and basements where dirt comes in every day.
Plain grey shows each boot print. A flake floor breaks up the surface so it looks clean longer.
A full flake floor covers the base coat completely with chips. It gives the most texture and the most colour. A partial flake floor scatters chips over a solid colour for a lighter look.
Sample boards come along on the visit so you can judge colours under your own lights. Around here, grey granite, sandstone tan and slate blue blends get picked most.
The chips give the floor a light texture under the topcoat. That helps tires and boots grip when snow melts on a garage floor. Entries and shops can also get a fine grit stirred into the topcoat.
Epoxy flake flooring suits a garage, a basement, a laundry room, a workout space or a small shop. A polyaspartic topcoat over the flake gives a fast cure and resists yellowing.
After grinding and repairs, we roll a coloured base coat over the floor. While it is still wet, we broadcast flake by hand until the base disappears. Once that cures, we scrape off loose chips, vacuum and roll on the clear topcoat. The result is epoxy flake flooring with no bald spots and an even texture.
Small chips give a fine, speckled look like granite. Larger chips give a bolder pattern and hide more dirt. Most local garages get a medium chip, which splits the difference. We can also blend two or three colours to suit your siding or trim.
Flake installs in Canada typically fall from $6 to $10 a square foot. Call (226) 407-7180 for a free visit with samples in hand. The Cambridge Epoxy Flooring home page compares the other finishes.
Plenty of Cambridge jobs pair a coating with patching or line painting on the same trip.

Basement floor coating seals the grey, powdery slab under your laundry and softener so spills, salt and boxes stop leaving marks. No basement gets priced until its slab passes a moisture check.

Polyaspartic floor coating hardens in a few hours rather than days, so a garage or shop floor often takes tires again within a day, and it keeps its colour when the afternoon sun pours in.
